Here is another Artisan Award Entry...this time one of the five cards that we had to submit...I think that this one was my FAVORITE card...it is very simplistic...but does have a lot of detail...
I used the Printed Petals stamp set...and embossed the Cherry Cobbler flower with Clear Embossing Powder...I then added a Marina Mist circle with some added texture from the Northern Flurries Embossing Folder that was then highlighted with a bit of Not Quite Navy Ink. On top of that I added a POP of Daffodil Delight and a bit of bling with some Basic Rhinestones and a Night of Navy Button. OH THE LEAVES...I can't forget the leaves...I punched them out with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch and then ran them through the Big Shot in the Spider Web Embossing Folder to add the veins. I layered ALL of that on top of SEVERAL rows of the First Edition DSP cut out with the large scallop from the Tasteful Trim Die and my Big Shot...I also used some of the Springtime Vintage Fabric as ribbon to tie a cute and fluffy bow...and OF COURSE...I had to add EVEN MORE BLING...to some of the scallops...
Here is a closer look at the details...and all of that left no room for words...it's an ALL OCCASION CARD...
AGAIN...I think that this one was my FAVORITE card entry...glad that I made TWO...so that I could keep and admire it always...of course in a couple of years as trends and styles shift...I will look back at it and say...WHAT WAS I THINKING?

Here is the Artisan Award Scrapbook Page I designed that showcases my youngest daughter Colleen...This page is 12x12...and the photos below are ones that I took at Convention, while it hung on the display boards...
In this photo, I wanted to show you how I took the Top Note Die and made a little pocket to add a couple of wallet sized photos, I also used a little clip and embellished it with some Designer fabric...
In this photo, I wanted to show you a little of the flower, but more of the background...You see I took the Lattice Die, cut it out SEVERAL times from River Rock Cardstock and layered it over some River Rock cardstock that I had wheeled with the Textured Jumbo Wheel in River Rock...so there is a very subtle tone-on-tone effect. The Poppy Parade DSP is some that I made from the line we had last year that was already embossed and you just added the color...LOVED that paper...it ALWAYS turned out SO PRETTY!
A closer look at the flowers...and in case you are wondering...the veins on the leaves were made with the Spider Web Embossing Folder...and the Scallop Trim with the little flowers added...LOTS of little details...which is what I LOVE...
and this one is for ME...I ALWAYS send one to SU! and keep one for myself...and I thought that I would show you the one that I kept for myself, as I am not a 12x12 scrapbooker, but that was the size that I sent to SU! for my AA entry, as that seems to be the norm, and I wanted to up my chances of winning this year...I scrapbook in 8 1/2 x 11 and ALWAYS have...I LOVE the more compact size...so that is what I did here...I downsized it a bit and left off the wallet sized photos...it still works and it is still beautiful...
Now to hang it as part of my window curtain in my studio...it is time to change out my pages...My AA and Display Stamper Pages from last year have been up for a long while now...time to put those away and put up new ones...I know I will enjoy seeing this one for a long time...

Quick one...
Just a quick post tonight so I can show you the other two projects for my Wednesday class this week...
This was the VERY first thing that I wanted to make when I came home from Convention...and it only took me about 24 hours to get it done...TOO CUTE...and I have made another one too...for a baby gift...I will show that one to you in a few days...so keep checking back for it...
I LOVE the Doily stamps in this years catalog...and was really happy that we could pre-order them...which OF COURSE...I did...I had to wait until I placed my first catalog order last week...I always wait until after convention...as they show us such neat stuff...anyway...I had to wait to order the Hello, Doily background stamp...which I did order and now have in my possession...now to just get all the stamps that I earned at Convention and the few that I have purchased...MOUNTED...
Back to the card...this card uses the Delicate Doily stamp set, but with a modern twist...super simple, but very pretty...
Check back tomorrow...as I will be posting one of my Artisan Award Scrapbook page entries...

Busy...Busy...Busy...
Wow...has it been a BUSY three days...and I have about 10 minutes before I have to walk out the door so this will be SUPER QUICK...
Tuesday...I finished up my Make n Takes via Skype with my friends from California as I didn't get them finished at Convention...to tell you the truth...I didn't even bother to start them at Convention once I heard that we couldn't get them done...but I am SO PROUD of myself that they are actually DONE...yep...I said DONE...as I have learned from the MANY Stampin' Up! events that I have attended over the years that if the Make n Takes don't get finished at the event...they NEVER get finished...so hopefully now that bad habit has ENDED!
I also designed the cards / projects for next weeks Card Class
WEDNESDAY...early morning...I prepped for my classes...and held my weekly Card class...Here are the cards/ project that we made this week...
After my morning class was held I started prepping for my first class at a Local store...I was cutting away...Lots of paper to cut, for the Mini Album I had designed...it is so cute and the theme of my class every month will of course be STAMPS...I finished up all the cutting on Wednesday evening just in time for bed...
THURSDAY...up at 5:30, which is my normal time, by the way...so I didn't get up early or anything...and I started in...working on my project for class...Class is tonight...I haven't taught at this store before, so I was a little nervous...I need to finish prepping and kitting the Mini Album, so I thought that I would make one as I went to make sure that I was packing up EVERYTHING that was needed...there is nothing worse than forgetting something...which I ALWAYS do...its a running joke with me, once you get to know me...that at a class or workshop...I always forget at least once thing...now to just figure out what it is...but I did good last night...the only thing I forgot was the order that I was suppose to drop off to a customer who was meeting me at the store...but I caught her before she left home...YAY...no wasted trip for her...ANYWAY...my Mini Album class last night went GREAT and I hope the ladies had a good time...they seemed to...some had stamped quite a bit before and some had not, but they all LOVED the little book...I am teaching the same class next week to a FULL house so it was a nice trial run...
OOPS...my time is running short, so I will leave you with this CUTIE...this is a card that we will be making in Wednesdays Card Class...
Come Join the Fun...

WOW...Spotlighted,,,along with others...
I am so EXCITED this morning...I woke up...was checking out the blogs that I normally read...and Shelli's is one of them...and of course she is talking all about Convention...and the FABULOUS time that was had by all...and as I scroll down through the photos...this one pops out at me...
...and it's because I am in it...of course there are others there also...but me...I am there...right in the FRONT ROW...this was at the VIP Meet & Greet...there was a REALLY long line to meet and talk with Shelli and I was in the front of the line to do that...but they wanted to get a group picture of all the VIPers...those are the people who recruited someone during the month of April...it was a REALLY LONG line (like 200 people) and people started leaving...then more and more people left and at the end of the two hour Meet & Greet...we were all that were left...the Die Hards...yep just 14 of us were left for the Group photo...but I am in it...and SO HAPPY that I stuck around...it was a very relaxing place that VIP lounge...full of comfy couches and lots of snacks, treats, and the lemonade...now that was YUMMY...
BUT...I know that you don't come here to here me go on and on about the mundane things I do...you want to see some stampin'...BUT...I have some things to take care of this morning...and an appt to attend, so check back later...I will get another Artisan Award Entry up sometime this afternoon...
