NEXT WEEK...

...We will be back to our regularly scheduled programming...

I am sorry that I haven't posted anything in a LONG while...The Air Force has sent Kirk away AGAIN, so I have been a single parent, chauffer, teacher, cook, maid, referee, and work full-time...I haven't had to do this in almost a year so I am a bit rusty at it! He is due back SOON, so I am hoping to be doing LOTS of stamping this weekend, so next week I should have some NEW STUFF to show you...So keep checking back!!

I've been scrapbooking a bit...

This is a 11 x 8 1/2 scrapbook page that I made last weekend to sent to SU! for the Event Stamper Design Team Call. I hope they like it. I am getting it into the mail today...overnighting it...'cause I procrastonate and it needs to be there by tomorrow...and hopefully I will know something soon...I am also sending stuff in for the Sept. Contests...I am hoping to win...AGAIN!

Those of you that are SU! Demos...look at the contest winners in the October SS...there is my name...Twila Mooneyham...(someday I will be famous) as the winner of the August Ribbon Originality contest...now I just need to wait for SU to call so I can choose my stamp sets...I have them all picked out...Define Your Life, Wild West Alphabet and Holiday Blitz. Well, I am off to work, and then on to the post office to mail my entries...Check back soon for more...STUFF!

I almost posted last night...

...BUT I didn't get home until LATE. I had to go to the base, which is 45 minutes away...(one direction) for a Squadron Spouses Meeting. So, I didn't get home until after 8:30 and I was pooped...I checked my e-mail, and went to bed!

So here is another card that I whipped together a couple of weekends ago...I had all these pieces laid out on my desk, and they just kinda fell together...

It seems that I can only create when there is a mess all around me and I have about 6 square inches to work in, with piles of stuff all around, to dig through and have fall onto my project so parts of the project get buried too, and then I have to search for that missing piece of my card...No Really, I can't work in a clean enviroment...The messier it is the more I create...I try to clean up a bit between projects, but that doesn't seem to happen TOO often...so onto the card that just fell together when that pile on my left collapsed and then knocked over the mountain of stuff on my right...

So what do you think...should I let those mole hills become mountains more often?

I know...I know...I didn't make it five days in a row...

BUT...I have a good excuse...I WENT SHOPPING!! On Friday I received my first paycheck from my first permanent job since I got out of the Air Force 15 years ago. I have worked at some other jobs and even recently worked as a temp for couple of different temp agencies, but this is my first REAL job with benefits, holiday pay, flex days, and sick time...SO...I celebrated and went shopping.

I didn't buy a TON of stuff...but I do really like what I did buy. I bought 2 shirts, 2 sweaters (I'm always cold, I really like it when it's over 100 outside) a new pair of boots for winter and a cute pair of reddish burgundy shoes with kitten heels...TOO CUTE! Here is what I REALLY wanted...

Let me tell you...It fit like a DREAM...and was so soft...I ALMOST broke down and bought it, but I was really good. I coundn't justify spending almost my WHOLE paycheck on one jacket...It was $299.00...maybe later in the season once it goes on sale...Like I said it fit like a DREAM, and since it is fitted and brown leather I know that I would have it and wear it for a LONG time...so Maybe once it's on sale....I will break down and purchase it. I even like the fact that the Large was TOO big...I would need the MEDIUM...a smaller size than I usually wear...the girls normally get in the way and I need a bigger size, but the MED fit great...

Now that I have blogged about this jacket...I know that I REALLY LIKED it, and I may have to go back and get it REALLY SOON!!! I'll keep you posted...

I know that you don't come here for fashion advice or to see what clothes I like, shoes I buy, purses I carry or anything else like that, but I know that you DO like to see the things I CREATE...so here is something else for you to see (besides the jacket that I REALLY like!) Here is another card that I made last weekend...

I have also been asked to give the details of the cards that I make so here goes:

Stamp Sets: Circle of Friendship

Cardstock: Soft Sky, Old Olive, Really Rust, Whisper White.

Inks: Craft White, Soft Sky

Accessories: Scallop Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Whisper White Narrow Ribbon, Fall Flowers DS Paper

FOUR...FOUR days in a ROW...

I know I have been posting in the mornings, but it is STILL Friday, so it still counts! Hopefully I will be creating lots this weekend so I will have lots to show you next week also.

I signed up for a Halloween Treat Swap today, so I thought that I would show ya'll something that I had made for Halloween...I really like to new Halloween set, the Creepy Crawly DS Paper, and the Jumbo wheel...now I just need to use them more before the opportunity is gone for another year...So maybe I will get some stuff done with those items this weekend. So keep checking back for more updates...

THREE...I made it THREE days in a row!!!

So today I will show you TWO cards...I know you thought that I would say THREE in honor of this occasion, but I have to save some cards for the rest of the week...

I think I have found the key to me blogging and showing new stuff during the week... Stamp like crazy ALL weekend, scan the cards / projects into the computer, crop photos and get them ready to upload...then through out the week, I can take the few minutes to chat about nothing...and show ya'll a new card or two...so that is what I will do now... Here is card one...

I know, not my best work, but it will do in a pinch, but as I really didn't quite like how it turned out...I tried again, and came up with THIS BEAUTY! Now this one I really like...

So what do YOU think...which card do you like better? Check back tomorrow to see if I make it to day FOUR!!

Here's another...two days in row...think I can make it THREE?

So here is another card that I made over the weekend...actually I designed it last week, but I made about 12 of these and I finished them up this weekend.

I am REALLY enjoying all the different DS Papers that SU! brought out this catalog year. I just hope that they DON'T retire them ALL when the new Spring / Summer Collection debuts in January. So I have been trying NOT to hoard these papers and actually USE them...So you will be seeing quite a few cards from me with DS Papers on them...

Also...I am thinking about opening up a swap with my readers...what DO YOU think? Would you like to swap with me? Post a comment and let me know...

WOW!!! Was I busy this weekend...

I stamped A LOT!!! I even went to the Commissary and got groceries, and did a bit...all right...I did a LOT of shopping at the BX too!...Who can resist a clearance sale with an EXTRA 50% what it was already marked down to??? I know I can't...

I did get a TON of stamping done on Sunday, and on Monday too...It was so nice to have Monday off knowing that I was still going to get paid for it...

Here is a card that I made for a Christmas Card swap. I also cheated a bit and used it for my downline swap last month also...Our swap theme was punches, and I did use a few of those on this card...

Check back again tomorrow for more updates...

Here is one that I made for the Holiday Mini Swap I was in...

I used the Gift label stamp set from the Holiday Mini and the Dashing DS Paper for the grass and flower stem, some ribbon to make the leaves for the flower, and the microbeads to add a bit of fun and sparkle...Hope you like it!
