Oakland Regional Organized Swap...
Thought ya'll might like to see the cards I had made for the organized swap that I joined for the Oakland Regional. Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, but the kids got sick and just as they were getting over it I redid the Stamp Studio and then it hit me...I got sick...I was feeling quite a bit better by the end of last week, so I taught class on Saturday morning and then I went into town and did a bit of shopping and picked up some photos that I had developed at Wal-Mart...I was only gone about 4 1/2 hours...I got home at 6:00 and told the kids...I'm gonna go and lay down for a couple of hours...I'm really tired...Well...I got up a few hours later...TRY 7:30am the next morning...I slept for OVER 13 hours...The kids did good though, locked up the house and put the dog to bed for the night...I have no idea what time they really went to bed...I guess that is one of the nice things about having teenagers...they can be self-sufficient when they need to be...

Now that my room is done...
I have been playing and messing it up a bit...but it does seem to get cleaned up a lot quicker now...I really like the way that it looks "all nice and clean" so I tend to keep it that way...so for those of you who have left comments wanting a room like mine...I say go for it. It helps me keep it clean...I like having a "professional looking" studio...
I used my pretties kit flowers and some Crystal Effects to glue on some sparkly glitter from SU! new Fine Cosmo glitter stack...added a bit of ribbon and a half pearl...TOO CUTE...MESSY, But CUTE! I wanted to keep the background simple so I used the Short & Sweet stamp set for accent and a bit of DS paper on the Basic Gray cardstock...added a bit of texture with my new favorite background stamp Twill and I was ALL done...so what do you think..."SPARKLY" enough for you?
Here is a peek at one of the cards that I have been creating...

New Stamp Studio...well, updated anyway!
Sorry...I haven't posted in a week, but I havebeen rearranging my Stamp Studio...Here are some new photos. I fianlly feel as if I have the Studio that I have always wanted...it's SO pretty. Hopefully it will stay that way!
SO.....What do you think? I think that I LOVE going to Ikea...I will probably go back this weekend to get somemore striped boxes before they run out and NEVER have them again...I NEED stuff to match!!
It's not quite done just yet, I have a few more things to put away, but I figured if I was going to be taking photos to send to Kirk so he could see my new space that I would share the photos with you guys too. I am really excited to get this finished tomorrow...I am going to Regionals in Oakland on Saturday and I want my space all ready for me to create when I get back...

Another Question...
Here is a question that I received from Monika:
Thank you for sharing all of your samples and ideas! I especially like the last card with Friendship blooms. How did you get the large flower so white - is it colored in with the gel pen? I'd love to know. Thanks. Monika
Here is the card that she is asking about:
I stamped the flower on White cardstock and then Masked it. I then used the sponge with So Saffron ink and rubbed over and around the image. Then I took the spritzer tool and spritzed Always Artichoke over it also. You then remove the mask and the image underneath is the original color. It really makes the image "POP"Hope this explains the process, if you have anymore questions, please leave me a comment and let me know...I will answer as soon as I can...
Also...check back tomorrow for the last of my Display Board samples from Leadership.
HAPPY STAMPING...
