Are ya'll ready to see my SU! Artisan Award Entries?

I know that I have been putting this off for a few months now, but I have been waiting to hear if I won...I didn't, then I was waiting for clarification from SU as to whether or not I could post photos online.

I wanted to be sure...I actually READ the contract that I signed before I sent it in...I finally got the word last week that I could post the photos of my entries on a personal website...GREAT I said...I have quite a few people that have been waiting for them to be posted on my blog....UUUUHHHH...you can't post them to your blog...only your personal Demonstrator Website she said...OH...OKAY...so I have taken photos of the 3-D projects and scanned in the Scrapbook pages and the cards...They are now posted on my DBWS...here is the direct link to my Art Gallery...

Here is a sneek peek of my Shadowbox project...

Hope you like them...Come back, leave a comment and let me know what you think.

After enough complaining...

I FINALLY WON!!!! Yep, I FINALLY WON one of SU!'s monthly contests...I got the e-mail today...I won the August Ribbon Originality Contest...and you have already seen the winning card...although I KNOW you want to see it again...so here it is...

It turned out so STINKIN' CUTE!!! They liked the simple way that I stamped on the ribbon...SO YEAH!!! So now I can choose that elusive $47.95 stamp set, and give it a new home....at my house...for me to play with...I am SO EXCITED...Now I am off to make more cards to win more contests...to win more FREE RUBBER!! I'll post more creations soon...

Well...I made SU!'s Stampers Showcase...AGAIN!

I made Stampers Showcase again today...a BIG YEAH... a tiny little boo & hiss...I need FREE rubber...one of these days I gonna win one of these contest and I think when that happens that people on the east coast will hear me...HOLLERIN'..YIPPPPEEEE!! But until then...I will just be happy with the cards poppin' up on stampers showcase and a little sad that I didn't win the contest that I sent it in for...

Here is the card that showed up this morning...

The WINNER Is....

I got so many comments this time...so I had my son choose a number between 1 and 54...#22 is the winner.

scfranson said...You have a wonderful blog! My favorite are sky blue, wasabi and white. Claudia.

So Claudia...please send me your snail mail address so I can get these projects in the mail to you...Thanks for all the great color combo ideas I will be trying some of them out soon...

I tried to update my blog yesterday, for ya'll, but I couldn't get into my blogspot account, they were doing some kind of maintenance...so here are the cards that I was gonna post yesterday. These are a set of cards that I will be teaching in an upcoming class...

Well...I am all grown up now and have a real job, so that is where I am headed...check back tomorrow for more cards...I promise to start posting more often again....Things are finally settling back down...

Okay...Okay...I know...I know...

I was suppose to post blog candy on Friday, but life just keeps happening and some stuff just never gets done in time...SO, here is blog candy for over 10,000 hits...

Yep...Here it is, a set of three cards and a box with a stamping treat inside...All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite color combination...As you can see right now my favorite is Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomagranite, and So Saffron, but I am working on a Christmas Card swap, so I am SURE that will change...

Third day almost in a row...

Here is another card that I made on Sunday. I LOVE the Ribbon Originals ribbons, but I wish that I could get more than 2 yards of each design. I would LOVE to use them in a workshop or class...but for now, until they are available in larger quantities, I will just have to use them for my samples and smaller swaps...

I have already ordered my Christmas card stamp set and I ordered Punch Pals to use at classes and workshops...I think that it is so versitile...So here is one card that I have made with it.

Hope you like it...stay tuned as tomorrow, I will be giving away blog candy...so check back, same stamp time, same stamp channel...

How about...I post...

Every OTHER day? Well, it seems that I didn't get anything posted yesterday. I was a little busy getting a swap done, that I had TOTALLY forgotten about. It is due today, and I did get them, designed, started and FINISHED last night...all I need to do now is get them into the mail to the hostess...

Now if I could just keep up with ALL the OTHER things that are going on this week...I need to make a list...OKAY...got a bit sidetracked...LIST MADE...now to show you something else that I made over the weekend...

I know that Halloween is still a ways away, but I wanted to play with some of my new stuff...before my other new stuff arrives. The other new stuff is due to arrive TODAY!!! More toys for me to play with this weekend...do you see that I now have OVER 10,000 hits...I will be doing blog candy soon...so keep coming back and taking peeks at my blog...it gives me a little thrill to see the numbers climb...

Now that things are settlin' down a bit...

...I can hopefully get back to posting EVERYDAY! I know that ya'll have missed me.

I had a busy weekend, but I did manage to get some stampin' done...and I know that you are anxious to see what I've been creating, but first....I would like to repost this card that was featured on Stamper's Showcase today.

Again, a bit of a whine...they like what I send in enough to post them on Stamper's Showcase, but not quite enough to say YOU WIN!! and give me free rubber...okay, enough whining...I will just keep sending my cards in for the contests and hopefully I will win soon. I already have one of the stamp sets that I want all picked out...I want them to GIVE me Define Your Life...I SO WANT that set, but I have a really hard time grasping the fact that it is so expensive. I know that you get 28 GOOD sized stamps, but $47.95 for ONE stamp set is just a bit to much for me to spend on a SINGLE stamp set, SO, I want to earn it FREE. If that doesn't happen in the next couple of months I know that I will break down and buy it, but I am going to give the contests a bit more time. I sent in another batch of 18 cards today so keep your fingers crossed for me...

Okay...now onto what I created this weekend...Please let me know if you need / want directions or a supply list for the cards I post...If you ask I will do it, but I am one of those people who can USUALLY figure out what supplies were used and how to do stuff just by looking at the project...if you are not one of those people, just let me know and I can send you the supply list / directions...Okay, now on to what I made...

TOO CUTE, HUH!!! So what do you think? Is it the winning entry?

I know...I know...

...I haven't been posting...BUT I have a GOOD excuse...I have been busy. I know so have you,. and you still take the time to pop in and see what I have done recently...well, here is what I have done recently...

...Thought you would see something huh??? Well, that's what I've been doing...NOTHING...Nothing stamp related that is...I have been really busy with other things...

Saturday...Took the kids shopping for school clothes and supplies
Monday night...Went to our Squadron Spouse Meeting
Tuesday night...Went to our Base Spouse Board Meeting then to the commissary.

Wednesday...My Friend Sheri and her family stopped by for a day to visit on their way to their next duty station...then last evening while they were here,

Wednesday night...at 5:30 my friend Kara called...they were giving her a C-Section at 7:30 and I was going to be in the OR with her...so OFF I went to the base to be with her...That baby is SO cute...she had a little boy...I didn't get home until almost midnight.

Thursday night...I stayed home...and a hopefully I will make it to be in a bit...

Tomorrow night (Friday)...I am going to my upline, Suzie's, for a post Convention gathering...

Plus, I am working full time...I am working for Kelly services as a temp for the county we live in, and on Monday, after my interview, they offered me the job permantly...so I will be an employee of the county soon...YEAH!!!

So, now that you know a bit about how my week has gone...hopefully you will understand why I haven't posted...there hasn't been time. I will hopefully be changing that this weekend. I will be posting the items that I made for the Stampin' Up! Artisan award. I finally got clarification about posting the photos online...apparently I CANNOT post them onto my blog, but I can post them onto my Demo Business Website, so I will up them to that and post links from here to there...so keep checking back to see those...

I'm SAD...Convention is over...

for another year....Yes, I am back from the 2007 Stampin' Up! Convention that was held in Denver, CO. I had so much fun and SO LITTLE SLEEP! Now that I am back, expect to see some great new projects pop up...but first I want to show you a photo that was taken at the SU! Pajama Party that was held on July 30th. Yep...about 2500 demonstrators took to the streets of downtown Denver in their PJs and slippers...even Shelli, one of the co-founders of Stampin' Up!...I stood in a short line (it was only short for a few minutes) and got to chat with her for a bit, she signed my name tag and even had some staff there to take our photo...

So here is me and Shelli in our PJs...

So, I am already planning on going to Leadership in Jan, if Kirk isn't deployed and I am definately going to Convention next year...it is going to be Stampin' Up!'s 20th anniversay...
Keep checking back as I will be posting projects again soon...I just had to show of my photo with Shelli...and let ya'll know what a fun time I had a convention...Now, to start saving for next year...

It's been almost a week...

...since my last post, and I am really sorry about that...I was busy getting things finished up so that I could leave for Denver. I finished up my swaps and got everything packed...

Well...it is Sunday, July 29th, and I am now at the hotel in Denver. I had a good flight, and a nice 45 minute shuttle ride here. Check-in was really quick and I am the first one in my room. My room mates will be arriving soon...Our room is right next to the elevators and I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing...you know some of those crazy ladies stay up WAY LATE into the wee hours of the morning...

I have organized, unpacked, and hung up my clothes and realized that I left my slippers at home...I really wanted them for the PJ Party tomorrow night...Oh Well, I always forget at least one thing and that was hopefully it...I will try and upload somethings from convention everyday, but in case I don't I will get a bunch of stuff loaded when I get back...

Talk to you soon...from the Mile High City of Denver, CO

Just trying something out...

...so I needed to post something. I have so much to do and not much time to do it in, so I have added all my blogs to Google Reader...so I don't have to look at them if they haven't been updated from the last time I read them...It will hopefully save me a bit of time...so I wanted to see if it worked...So here is my new addition to see if Google Reader will let me know that MY blog has been updated with something that I haven't read...

This is the swap card that I made for the swap with my downline. The theme was any set out of the new catalog. I had to do a swap with the girls in my sideline also, and Artfully Asian was choosen, so I killed two birds with one stone...and made the same card for both swaps...I know...I know...I cheated a bit, but I am a little crunched for time...I leave for Convention in LESS than one week, and I am NO WHERE near ready...I have so much left to do...I am still working full-time, I have swaps that need to be finished, and I still need to go shopping for some new clothes to take with me...I have NO IDEA how I am going to get all this done...well..staying OFF the internet would probably help...I will try to keep you updated this week, but the posts may be a little sparse...

Here is the swap card...

After finsihing Harry Potter...

I decided to stamp a bit. Here is one of the projects that I came up with...Of course I hardly ever think stuff up on my own...and this project is no different. I buy EVERY issue of Papercrafts magazine. It is my hands-down FAVORITE magazine for cards and projects. This was in the issue that I picked up last week...

It is a Note Holder...Each Pattern Paper is a different pocket. The pockets are only 4 inches deep, so you won't lose the bits of things that you put into it. Isn't it CUTE!!!

Here is a close up of the embellishment...

Enjoy...and check back tomorrow for more stuff...

Not using the Petals

I am having a hard time using the Pick A Petal stamp set...I can't get the flowers to look right for nothin'....so I made this card last night and I didn't even use them...Just the small flower from the set...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the petals go where you want them and look right? I know that I could just use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, but that is TOO much work. I also know that I could just cut the petals out...again WAY TOO MUCH work...So I would LOVE to hear your suggesstions...

I guess you would like to see the card that I made? I think it turned out really cute...

Okay...I am taking stuff to a Pot-Luck today at work...and keep me and my car in your thoughts...I don't want another incident like the BEANS! If you have no clue what I am talking about...read this post...

HUMP DAY!!!

Today is Wednesdaay and it is HUMP DAY!!! Only two more days til the weekend. I am up and dressed, so now today has happened...I am off to work in a bit, but I thought that I would show ya'll a little something today...

Here is a card that I made to hold a Gift Certificate that someone purchased from me. It is made to fit in one of our long open ended envelopes...I thought that it turned out really cute...

I used the Baroque Motifs stamp set, Groovy Guava and River Rock. I really LOVE the new IN COLORS this year. Last year I only purchase three of the In Colors and only the Cool Caribbean cardstock...Used that color a TON and was VERY sad to see it go...BUT this year I REALLY like ALL the In Colors and have used all of them, and have had to order more cardstock as some of the colors I have already run out of...

Wish me Luck...I am hoping to stamp tonight...it seems that the last few days that I have wanted to stamp, and then when I go over and sit down...NOTHIN!!! I get nothin' done...so tonight I am going to just go and play and hopefully something brilliant comes together...

I think that I am starting to feel the pressure of getting everything done in time for Convention. I have LESS than two weeks now, and I have a big pile of stuff to still work on...I am attending a crop on Saturday and hope to get most of that stuff done then...So wish me luck...Hopefully you will be seeing something brilliant tomorrow...BUT don't count on it...

Another Hectic Day...

I seem to need more than 24 hours in a day...that or I need to sleep less...I have a HUGE list of stuff to do, and it seems like no time to do it in...I am posting this quickly and then I am off to bed...Kirk gets up SUPER early so he can wake-up and get to work on time, so we usually go to bed no later than 10pm...I'm thinking that I NEED to start getting up with him at 4:30 to get some stuff done...Maybe I will try it in the morning...I know that I don't really sleep well that last couple of hours anyway...

So here is the card that I put into the Technique section of my July 15th newsletter...I showcased Reverse Masking.

Check back soon...I may get up before the birds tomorrow...and actually get some things crossed off my THINGS TO DO LIST!

Sunday, July 15, 2007

WOW!...the month of July is really flying by!!

I can't believe how fast this month is going...Only 2 weeks until I grow one year older...Oh well...I will definately have a GREAT Birthday...I will be flying off to Denver that day...leaving my kids in Kirk's very capable hands...of course my kids are older and can pretty much fend for themselves...so it won't be that difficult for him...BUT I am going to enjoy my time away...I can't wait to learn some new stuff to show ya'll...

Here are the cards that I made for my workshop on Friday night...sorry I haven't posted since Wed, but I had a Demo get together after work on Thur, and then the workshop on Fri night...yesterday I spent quite a bit of time CLEANING up my stamp studio...and then I even made a card. I will post that in a few days...it is for the techniques section of my newslettter...which is suppose to go out today, but I don't think I'm going to make it...I am on my way to the BX and then the Commissary...

I HAVE to buy some new jeans...I have a case of Saggy, Baggy, Behind syndrome...in other words...my pants are ALL to big...and I can't stand it anymore...SO wish me luck in my search for jeans...I am VERY PICKY...I like a really dark wash, straight legs and long enough to wear them with heels, as I am usually wearing them...yes even to the grocery store...Okay enough jabbering...here are the cards...I know that's why ya'll peek in here every few days...It's not about me...just what I create...

If you'd like to receive a copy of my newsletter...you can sign up over on the right side of my blog...
Happy Stampin'...

Here they are...

The last of my Display Samples for Convention...this first one is a 2-4-6-8 box.
This is a mini album. There are two photos one of the outside...

and this is the inside of the mini album. I used the Vellum envelopes to hold photos of my family...
This is a little Composition notebook...I used the Circle Tag and added the Build A Flower Tin flowers and coated the tag with Crystal Effects...It is really shiny and I had a really hard time taking a good photo of it sice I couldn't use the flash...the reflection for the Crystal Effects just washed out the picture.

Sorry It took me so long to post these...I will try not to do that again...Keep checking back...I got my NEW stuff yesterday in the mail and I have started playing with it. I have a Stamping Get Together tomorrow night and a Workshop on Friday night...so I won't really get to play until this weekend...but next week you should be seeing some cool, neat, NEW stuff...

I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth...

...I've just been really busy. I am so SORRY that I haven't updated this site since Saturday...Life has been hectic. I have some stuff ready to upload and it is on my list of stuff to do...TODAY...so it should get done...I am big on lists...I LOVE to cross things off...So check back later tonight and see what I have posted...

Denied FREE Rubber yet again!

Well...I made Stamper's Showcase today...AGAIN, I was denied FREE rubber. It is so dissappointing to know that Stampin' Up! likes your cards well enough to put on Stamper's Showcase, but not enough to win a contest for FREE rubber...OH WELL...I guess I will just have to keep trying...

Maybe someday soon...I will again see my name in print in a Stampin' Success ...SU! will call and ask, what stamp sets do you want...and I will YELL Define Your Life, and can I get back to you...I'll have to think about the other two...

I really want that Define Your Life stamp set...I just have a really hard time wrapping my head around a $47.95 stamp set...so I really want to earn it for FREE...

FREE RUBBER I tell ya...That's what I want...

So, Here is the card that they posted today...it has been posted on here before but so you don't have to search through the older posts, here it is again.

Check back tomorrow...unless they post ANOTHER card on Stamper's Showcase that is mine I will be uploading the 3-D items I made for Convention using the Build-A-Flower Tin...

More Display Samples...

Here are my Scrapbook Page Display Samples for the Build-A-Flower Tin.

This is a 6x6 page of Reilly...the photo was taken in April. I really had no room for journaling, so I used the Chocolate Chip Marker and wrote along the outside edge of the photo...

Colleen...she was SO excited to find out that I had been choosen to be a Display Stamper...'cause now SHE is famous...you see...she was very excited to learn that HER pages were going to be displayed for the WHOLE WORLD to see. This page turned out REALLY cute! I put microbeads ALL around the edges of the photos and have the scallop border and the flower over the top edge of the page. This isn't exactly like the one I sent in, as I had to do a 12x12 page for that...I don't personally do 12x12 pages so when I made the one for me to keep I made it 8 1/2 x 11.

ALL ATTITUDE...Yep that's Kaitlyn right now...She is 14 1/2 and let me tell you sometimes I just want to throttle her attitude, but she is a teenager, and hopefully it will start improving soon...HOPEFULLY...all in all she is a great kid, but I get tired of the tone and the looks...There are two spots for hidden journaling on this page...one behind the photo that pulls out and the one on the side...

This photo was taken in Dec as we were heading out to the Squadron Christmas party....we have been married for 15 over years now. I wanted to mark that milestone. Again the journaling is hidden behind the photo...

Well that is it for the scrapbook pages today...I still haven't heard from the winner of the blog candy...so check and see if it was you and please send me your snail mail address...
For those of you close enough, don't forget that I am having a NEW catalog open house tomorrow, Saturday, July 7th from 10 am - 8 pm...Hope to see you.

Hi Twila -I love your scrapbook pages, I just started a few weeks ago, but I'm loving it so far! I really need a bigger space! My favorite thing in the catalog is the All in the Family set. I think it's a really cute idea, but expensive! =) I love the new layout of the catalog as well!Have a wonderful day.

So please send your snail mail address to twilamooneyham@hotmail.com so I can get your stamp set in the mail to you...

I am not posting the scrapbook pages from Build-A-Tin today...sorry...but I will give you a tidbit to look at...I was asked...well, actually I volunteered to make a Swear Jar for the ladies where I am currently working...apparently their language can be a bit colorful...I think it turned out really cute, and it helped me use up some of my SU! stuff that has retired...Here it is...

The Scrapbook pages will be up tomorrow...so check back...

Build-A-Flower Tin Samples...

Here are the samples that I made for the Build A Flower Tin that came out in the new SU! Catalog. This is the one thing that I would have NEVER bought for myself...and personally...I had a really hard time using it, but in the end I do like the way the projects turned out...

So...check back tomorrow for the scrapbook pages done with the Build-A-Flower Tin...and don't forget to leave a comment on my other post for that FREE stamp set...I would love to mail it to YOU!

WOW! I can't believe...

How much the counter has gone up in two days...but I guess EVERYONE wants to see NEW stuff. So I won't dissapoint ya'll...Here are the 3-D items I made with the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set...

This is a goody bag that I made from a Lunch sack and the New DS Paper. I wanted to use more than one color for the paper, so I took the time to outline the flowers in Pink Passion and color the leaves in Green Galore.

This is a little purse that I made...Yes, it is a SU! box from a stamp set. I am really sad about the beads retiring because I really like using them...I bet now ya'll want them too...huh!...Well they are gone from the catalog...I guess no one liked them like I did...I used them all the time. Oh well onto new stuff...The handle is Twill tape that I dyed with Real Red reinker and attached to the box with colored brads...

Here is a close up of the front of the purse. I LOVE this little bird....I used him a lot.

Hope you enjoyed these, don't forget to leave a comment on the post for blog candy...I would LOVE to send YOU that stamp set...

The Counter is OVER 5,000...

So, I do want to give away some more blog candy since my counter is now over 5,000. How did that happen, it was just a 4,000 yesterday...So...Please leave a comment, let me know why you like to visit my blog and if you have your new catalog, what is your favorite NEW stamp set or accessory? Here is what the winner gets...The Love It stamp set. I will have a kid pick a number on Wednesday night at 8:00, so check back Thursday morning to see if you are a WINNER!!!

Also, here are some of the Scrapbook Pages that I designed for the Convention displays. The first one is a 6x6 page of the kids waiting to pass out the Christmas presents. The journaling is on the tag that pulls out from behind the photo.

This page is of my youngest daughter Colleen on her 9th birthday. She wanted to go to Build-A-Bear. The cake piece pulls out and there is journaling on the DS paper...Love the new DS striped paper, it is great to journal on...no crooked sentences...The tiny little photos are the ones from the index print...

This layout is also of Colleen...she is always a bit SILLY! She wanted me to take her photo white she was upside down...so I did...Silly Huh!...Again the journaling pulls out from behind the photo.

This is a layout for my oldest daughter Kaitlyn. She was picking some flowers in the backyard and I went and grabbed my camera...she is growing up so fast...

Convention Display Samples...

Fun & Fast Notes is a really cute set that replaces Nice & Easy notes. I really enjoyed making cards with this set. Here are the card samples that I have made. The first two cards...the little bird and the hedgehog...will be my swaps for the Session 2 SCS Dinner at Convention in Denver. I hope ya'll like them...check back tomorrow for the scrapbook pages that I designed...

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think...

Here is my Blossoms Chipboard Class...

These are the cards that I have designed for my Blossoms Chipboard Class. For more details about this class please visit my business website. The link is in the last post.

Also...later today I can start to share what I did as a Display Stamper for SU!'s Convention. I have to wait until all demonstrators can order from it...which is NOON SU! time, or 11:00 my time. So chack back later for a project or two...I will spread them out over the next few days....I have to keep ya'll coming back for more...I like it when the counter number gets bigger...So, when I get to 5,000, I will be doing blog candy again.
