Third Class Card...

Third card for class this week...again our theme is Watercoloring...on this card I used the Watercolor Pencils...now they aren't my Favorite way to watercolor, but you do get some really great depth of color...

Here is a closer look at the focal image...I even used a technique that I taught a couple of weeks ago...masking, but I doubled up on it and used TWO colors this week...it made the sun image really shine...

Hope you like this weeks cards...I know that I liked making them...

Another Sketch Challenge...

Here is another card that I designed for a Sketch Challenge...I think that I am really liking sketches...the layout...all done for you...you just get to choose the colors, stamps and embellishments that you want to use and design away...sometimes the hardest part...is getting everything to fit on the card...the sketch takes that issue out of the equation...

I really like how this card turned out...I LOVE the color combination...the colors are BOLD, but they all work together really well...Pacific Point, Old Olive, Real Red and Whisper White...

Here is a loser look at the focal point...I used Crystal Effects to make the Real Red flowers shine...

Hope you enjoyed the card today...it is one that I will be teaching in class this week...we are learning about Watercoloring techniques...

Sketch Challenge...

Well...I decided to work on my cards for next weeks class and a friend of mine...HI GAIL...had sent me a link earlier in the week to a website with a sketch challenge that has a different sketch posted every week...so I decided to play with that a bit today, with-in the parameters of my class for next week...the theme is Watercoloring...here is the card that I made...

And here is a closer look at the sparkly goodness of the watercolored rose...

I know that the lighting isn't the best, but it is after 10pm and there isn't any natural light at that time of night...but believe me...it is so pretty in person...

Hope you like it...

Here is a card we made a few weeks ago in class...I showed everyone how to make the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder a bit smaller...so you can use it as a focal point rather than around the WHOLE card...it is one of my FAVORITE embossing folders...

Here is a closer look at some of the details of the card...

We did a bit of watercoloring and masking...we also used the Lattice Bigz Die with some Patterned DSP and a bit of Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon to finish it off...

Also...had a bit of a shock today...a good one though...as many of you know I do my own fair bit of blog surfing...I have my favorites that I check out everyday through Google Reader...much to my surprise...this morning when I check out one of them...there was my name...she had actually typed it out with her own two little hands...I was so honored...she said that I was "talented"...of COURSE...I liked that TOO...remember this card...

Well...it is the one that she...Ms. Diana Gibbs...based hers off off...here is the link to her post that has my name in it...so go and check it out...CLICK HERE...did you click...did you read it...did you see my name???

Any way...hope you have a GREAT Stamping day...I know mine started out FABULOUS and I hope to keep it that way...now I am off to work on some stamping goodness...

SUPER SIMPLE...

How about another card....I taught this one in class a couple of weeks ago...I taught a class on Masking...

I really LOVED how this card turned out...SUPER SIMPLE...but the color combination is FANTASTIC...here is a close-up...

Did a little masking along the bottom edge with a Post-it note so that the stems of the flowers would be straight...
