SORRY...

Sorry it has taken me so long to post again...But in the last two weeks I have worked 80 hours...done 4 workshops and taught two classes, OH and I am currently a single parent in our household while Kirk is deployed...I've been busy and blogging has been bumped to the BOTTOM of my "to do" list...Here is a card that I made a while ago using the 'A Little Birdie Told Me' stamp set...it is one of my favorites out of the new catalog this year...TOO CUTE!

I have another workshop tonight, and then I need to finish up my Artisan Award entries...okay..okay...I have barely started them...I only have one of the items for this done...so it is gonna be a BUSY two weeks...so I don't know if I will get more stuff photographed or not, but I will try to update again REALLY SOON!! Keep checking back, and if you want more updates...leave comments and bug me...I am more apt to do things for others than myself...

Oakland Regional Organized Swap...

Thought ya'll might like to see the cards I had made for the organized swap that I joined for the Oakland Regional. Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, but the kids got sick and just as they were getting over it I redid the Stamp Studio and then it hit me...I got sick...I was feeling quite a bit better by the end of last week, so I taught class on Saturday morning and then I went into town and did a bit of shopping and picked up some photos that I had developed at Wal-Mart...I was only gone about 4 1/2 hours...I got home at 6:00 and told the kids...I'm gonna go and lay down for a couple of hours...I'm really tired...Well...I got up a few hours later...TRY 7:30am the next morning...I slept for OVER 13 hours...The kids did good though, locked up the house and put the dog to bed for the night...I have no idea what time they really went to bed...I guess that is one of the nice things about having teenagers...they can be self-sufficient when they need to be...

Anyway...Enough of my life story...here are the cards you came to see...

Now that my room is done...

I have been playing and messing it up a bit...but it does seem to get cleaned up a lot quicker now...I really like the way that it looks "all nice and clean" so I tend to keep it that way...so for those of you who have left comments wanting a room like mine...I say go for it. It helps me keep it clean...I like having a "professional looking" studio...

Here is a peek at one of the cards that I have been creating...

I used my pretties kit flowers and some Crystal Effects to glue on some sparkly glitter from SU! new Fine Cosmo glitter stack...added a bit of ribbon and a half pearl...TOO CUTE...MESSY, But CUTE! I wanted to keep the background simple so I used the Short & Sweet stamp set for accent and a bit of DS paper on the Basic Gray cardstock...added a bit of texture with my new favorite background stamp Twill and I was ALL done...so what do you think..."SPARKLY" enough for you?

New Stamp Studio...well, updated anyway!

Sorry...I haven't posted in a week, but I havebeen rearranging my Stamp Studio...Here are some new photos. I fianlly feel as if I have the Studio that I have always wanted...it's SO pretty. Hopefully it will stay that way!

SO.....What do you think? I think that I LOVE going to Ikea...I will probably go back this weekend to get somemore striped boxes before they run out and NEVER have them again...I NEED stuff to match!!
It's not quite done just yet, I have a few more things to put away, but I figured if I was going to be taking photos to send to Kirk so he could see my new space that I would share the photos with you guys too. I am really excited to get this finished tomorrow...I am going to Regionals in Oakland on Saturday and I want my space all ready for me to create when I get back...

Another Question...

Here is a question that I received from Monika:

Thank you for sharing all of your samples and ideas! I especially like the last card with Friendship blooms. How did you get the large flower so white - is it colored in with the gel pen? I'd love to know. Thanks. Monika

Here is the card that she is asking about:

I stamped the flower on White cardstock and then Masked it. I then used the sponge with So Saffron ink and rubbed over and around the image. Then I took the spritzer tool and spritzed Always Artichoke over it also. You then remove the mask and the image underneath is the original color. It really makes the image "POP"

Hope this explains the process, if you have anymore questions, please leave me a comment and let me know...I will answer as soon as I can...

Also...check back tomorrow for the last of my Display Board samples from Leadership.

HAPPY STAMPING...

Rub-Ons onto photos...

I have gotten a comment: I'm so jealous of your fabulous creativity! I've got to try putting rub-ons onto my pictures - I love that effect! :)

Just wanted to let ya'll know that the white on the photo here is NOT a rub on. It is the Its Beautiful wheel inked with the White Craft pad and then embossed with Winter White embossing powder. I heated the photo from underneath...It can still bubble your photo so BE CAREFUL if you try this, but it turned out SO cute...

I've been asked...

If these are photos of the Display Boards from Leadership or if these are projects that I made...and I have to answer...BOTH...these are the projects that I MADE for the Leadership Display Boards. So, there are photos of these items from Leadership floating around, but I made the originals...I ALWAYS make at least TWO of anything that I make, so these are the ones that I kept and then I set a set off to Stampin' Up! for the Boards...Hope this answers your question...

Friendship Blooms

I have been busy making NEW things to show you, so I am stepping up the posts of the stuff I made from the Leadership Display boards. Here are all the things that you haven't seen yet from the from Friendship Blooms SAB set...

Hope you enjoyed the LONG post this morning and all the cards, scrapbook pages and 3-D projects...and as I am leaving for work in a few I am not going to post details about each item Please let me know if you have any questions about any of them and I will be sure to answer...Happy Stampin'

Not the best photo...

Not the best photo of this Scrapbook page, but I thought that it turned out really cute. This was antother page that WASN'T on display at Leadership...I know the Cerise DS Paper retired...I was VERY sad to see it go. I was sure that it would stick around through Valentines Day...you see red is my FAVORITE color...If I could I would wear red EVERY day...when we have our own house in a few years...I want a RED wall in the living room a RED kitchen and a red FRONT DOOR...only 2 1/2 years to wait until I can make that happen...

Anyway...yep I LOVE my kids...even though they drive me NUTS on most days...but they are mine...These were the photos that I took for our Christmas cards this year. We ALL coordinated. The girls and I had on red shirts with white polka-dots and the boys had on red t-shirts with white long sleeve button up shirts over them...TOO CUTE...Well...I gotta go and teach a class, people will be starting to show up in about 10 minutes and I need to finish setting up...Happy Stamping and check back tomorrow to see more...

Conversation Jar...

Here is one of the 3-D projects that I made for the Perfect Timing stamp set. I made a Converstaion Jar. Decorated the Mason Jar and printed out the questions from the internet...This was one of the items that DID NOT make it onto the Leadership Display Boards. I thought it was really cute, but I guess that it was TOO heavy and they didn't have any shelves to set stuff on like they did at Convention...Oh Well, you get to see it here anyway...Hope you like it...

Perfect Timing...

Again...I had a bit of trouble making this stamp set the focal set for this, but I think that it turned out really nice in the end..
On this card I also used Define Your Life. I was so excited to win the Aug contest, 'cause I wasn't paying almost $50.00 for one stamp set...so I chose it as one of my FREE ones...YEAH I still get excited about those FREE stamps...
If you are interested in FREE stamps, SU! is having a GREAT promotion next month...contact me for more information...

More from the Display Boards

Here is a card that I made with the SAB set Friendship Blooms. I was very excited to get this set, and a little sad when I saw it in the SAB brochure. I really like this set, but it will be around for such a short time...So I better start using the heck out of it...

I had my Open House on Saturday...Thanks for coming ladies...If any of you haven't received your Spring Summer Catalog and would like one...please let me know so I can get one to you.

Well...I am off to work. It was REALLY nice having a three day weekend, but it's back to the grindstone...it's good to know that this is only a FOUR day work week and then...it's Saturday...more stampin' time...don't forget to check back tomorrow

My favorite Scrapbook page

This is my favorite Scrapbook page that I did for the Display Boards...
I think that it turned out SO cute...of course...Colleen being so cute and photogenic had NOTHING to do with that...Here are some photos of the details...
Here I used the Versamark pad and embossed the flowers with Clear Embossing powder and then cut them out and popped them up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
I embossed the large flower with white embossing powder and shaded it in with the Rose Red marker for depth...
