An update...

Okay...I am updating again...and no one has even bugged me yet...aren't your proud...I know I am.

Here are three 3-D items that I have made recently. The first is this cute little bird house. Can't wait to hang it on my Christmas Tree on the day after Thanksgiving.

The second thing I am showing you is a CUTE...CUTE...CUTE little basket made that I made with dies from my Big Shot. I used the small pennant die and the lage circle from Scallops#2 for the bottom...it does need to be sticky stripped together as Snail Adhesive doesn't hold up...ask me how I know!

The third 3-D item I also made using the Big Shot...I used the Envelope Die and some extra cardstock and DS Paper to make this sweet little basket.

I received a call today so I could place my order for my SIX FREE stamp sets for winning the contests last month...Here is what I ordered...

All In The Family
Wonderful You
Flower Fancy
A Rose Is A Rose
Taffy Alphabet
Ticker Tape Alphabet

$228.70 worth of FREE stamps...now I will just have to put them together...I wish the Aplhabets were die cut already...That would be GREAT! Oh Well...I will just have to put them together siting in front of the TV...

Here is another card for you...YEP...I once again used the Top Note Die...

Can you tell it's my favorite? I loaned it out last Sunday to my upline so she could use it for her Founder's Circle swaps...do you think I could use another die? Apparently not! I haven't touched my Big Shot since last weekend...BUT that is going to change tomorrow...I have some ideas with the Envelope Die that I can't wait to play around with...so until nexttime...Happy Stamping!

I WON...I WON...I can't believe I WON!!!

Hey...I just received an e-mail from Stampin' UP! and I won TWO of the September Contests...I am SO excited!!! Here is the scrapbook page that I sent in for the Accent Your Memories contest.

This is a photo that I took of Reilly a few months ago in our backyard. I used the Define your Life stamp set to describe him and his personality. The Life is Good is mounted onto the Top Note shape and I added Crystal Effects and Microbeads for texture.

I also sent in the card in the previous post for the Rub It On contest...and I won that one TOO...the only difference is, that in the card I posted I used the white rub-on on the black cardstock and on the card that I sent into Stampin Up! I used the black rub-on on Kraft cardstock...I am so excited to win another SU! contest, but to win TWO in the SAME month...I am over the moon...Now all I need to do is go and pick out my 6...YES SIX...FREE Stamp Sets...which ones should I choose???? Which ones would YOU choose...Help me decide...I have so many stamps already!

4 September 2008

LOVE this bear! I think that he is such a CUTE and GRUMPY little animal...He looks a bit menacing, but he just LOVES me too...I found this rub-on last week in my stash of stuff and as soon as I read it, I wanted to use it with the bear...I think he's so cute...even my DH liked this card. What do you think?

Well..I went to the doctor for my follow-up yesterday from my surgery last week. I thought that I was going to be able to go back to work next week...NOT...he wants me to stay home until Oct 1st...which means I will have LOTS of time to stamp! I am looking forward to that...I have gotten so much done this week, and I have had such a good time doing it...I would love to do this full-time I just need to clear about $2000.00 a month which is just not possible right now...oh well...I guess that I will just have to keep my day job...Happy Stamping and come back soon!

I have been off of work, the last couple of weeks, as I had surgery...so I have been stamping up a storm! Here is one of the FIRST sets that I HAD to have from the Fall/Winter Catalog. I LOVE this set, as do my teenagers.

I used the Big Shot Top Note Die to make the card and added the Skull from the Just Jawing Stamp Set...My girls LOVED this card...and I think it turned out pretty cute too!...Come back soon as I still have TONS of cards to show you!

Another Challenge from Kristina...

Here is another Color Inspiration challenge from Kristina...

AND...here is what I came up with. I was really happy to have this to do today. I had surgery on Monday and a large order from SU! delivered yesterday, so I really wanted to stamp and this afternoon I was felling a bit better, so I did. I only took me about 5 hours to make this card, but I got it done...So what do you think? I really liked the button with the brad in the holes...I thought that was genius on my part...BUT...maybe it was all the drugs I'm on...those narcotics can do a number on ya sometimes...

Riverton Tour highlights

On Wednesday...Check in Day, after our 2 hour wait in line for Momento Mall and the non-existant line for picking up our Convention tote...we went out and got onto the bus for our 11:00 Stampin' Up! Riverton Tour. This was a tour of the home office of SU! and the Distribution Center where all of our goodies are shipped from...Here is Mary waiting in line to get on the bus.

Once we got to Riverton whcih was about 20-30 minutes away from the Convention Center...I lost track of the time as I was looking at the NEW catalog...We went in and looked through the Legacy Display Rooms...The rooms are little settings of how we could use SU! products and our unlimited imaginations to create and decorate things...Here are some photos of things that I REALLY liked and I would LOVE to duplicate some of them...
Here is the first thing that I LOVED...This advent calendar...it was really BIG...and so cute...might have to make myself one...
On the wall by the Calendar were these stars...and being from TEXAS...ya'll know that we LOVE our STARS...Might have to make me some of these to have laying around here in CA...reminders of home and all...

On the floor in this room was a little stand with more stars and some cute little paper ornaments, that we now know were made with some of our new dies for the Sixxix Big Shot.

On around the corner was another "room" and I really fell in LOVE with some of the pieces. Here is a really simple one framed nicely and it just makes a nice decoration.

Then right beside that was THIS...How simple is this??? TOO Cute!! I might have to find one of these bell jars at IKEA tomorrow...I am hoping...but don't quote me on this because I have no 'extra' knowledge...that these butterflys are going to be new dies for the Big Shot...LOVE the one on the front of the new catalog.

How about this SIMPLE decorting idea...Photos in glass jars...the glass jars magnify the photos just a bit...I need to do this...one for each kid.

Underneath the shelf that the last two items were sitting on was a bench...between the bench and the shelf was this large piece of sheet metal with S, M, T, W, T, F, S with magnets and clips...CUTE...CUTE...CUTE!! to keep your week straight so you don't forget anything!

Only took a couple of photos in this room. I really liked how they put the leaves under the clear plates on the dining room table.

AND...How about this SIMPLE trick...DS paper on old door panels...

The next room was a sewing/crafty room...Loved how they wrapped the ribbon and DS Papers around the wooden spools.

And how about this 'faux' window...curtain valance is DS papers...

Here is one last one from this room...LOVED this shelf, LOVED EVERYTHING on this shelf...just wish it was in my house and I could have someone come in and dust it off once a week so it would stay looking this nice!

Here is another cute room. This room was done using stamps and acrylic paints...LOVE the border at the top!

OKAY...Here was my FAVORITE thing that we saw in the Legacy Display Rooms...LOVE this old glass paneled door with the DS Papers, Photos and the Decor Elements word 'happiness'. I SO want to recreate this. I have the word 'family', DS Papers, and plenty of photos...all I need is the door...I just need to find someplace in Sacramento, CA that I can get an OLD door CHEAP! Leave me a comment if you know of someplace!

Then we went on through the facility and I took a couple of photos of the Distribution Center. This is where ALL of the SU! orders are shipped from...

We had told them as the boxes were rolling past us on the line that a few of them were being shipped to the WRONG address...they needed to come here...to my house...to await my return so I could play with the stuff...we got to look down in them...most of the stuff that was being ordered was retiring stuff so it didn't hurt my feelings TOO much when the boxes went on to their rightful demos...
Well...I hope you enjoyed the photos of the Riverton Legacy room and the whole TWO photos of the Distribution Center...we had a really good time and I am looking forward to seeing what new stuff they have in store for us in the Legacy Room next year! Thanks for sticking with me during this LONG post...Happy Stamping!

A Couple of my Swap Cards...

Here are a couple of the cards that I swapped this year...

I did the SCS Dinner swap, and three other "Organized" swaps and I received some Great cards. There is lots of new inspiration floating around in my Stamp Studio. I just wish that I could sit and play...but NO...I gotta go to work. Today I need to clear out my Studio and get ready for my package that is arriving tomorrow from Stampin' Up!. I ordered the NEW SU! Big Shot and a few of the dies...they will be here tomorrow and I want to play...so today I have to clean, clear and make a home for my new Big Shot to live...I can't wait for it to arrive!

Yes...that is one of the things that was announced at Convention. Stampin Up! is now carrying the Sixxix Big Shot. We will also have EXCLUSIVE dies that you can order to match some of the new stamp sets...Well...I hope that you enjoyed the carde this morning...check back later today for more...

Where have I been...you ask?

The last month has gone by so FAST! I have been working on Convention swaps, Downline & Roomate gifts, and other misc. projects...so my blogging has been non-existant for the last month...then my Laptop's Screen went out...so...I didn't have a computer for the last week before Convention. Kirk (my DH) kindly gave me his laptop that we had purchased before he deployed in Jan and he will just buy a new one before he deploys again next year...Now onto Convention chatter...

WOW...WOW...WOW...I had a GREAT time. I flew out from Sacramento, CA and got to SLC on Tuesday. I was met at the

By My Momma...

She is a demonstrator in my Downline. She had driven in from North Texas to go to Convention with me this year...I was ambushed in the lobby...

We went up to our room on the 2nd floor...which was GREAT as we didn't HAVE to wait for the elevators once the hotel filled up with all the other demos, and SU! staff...we could just take the stairs...One of the other ladies in my Downline...Mary...joined us later that afternoon once her flight arrived from Austin, TX...

Check back tomorrow for more...It's getting late and I need to get to bed...I will share a couple of my swap cards that I made with you then...

I LOVED the inspiration photos...all balck, white and gray, so I stuck with that and made my card last night during the commercials of my shows...

I really like how it turned out...Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Gray with a bit of bling and frill thrown in...I know my teenagers liked it....So what do you think?

Here is the inspiration for my card. I have wanted to participate in these challanges since they began, as I LOVE Kristina's simple style, but as I have been working so much overtime, they just end to quickly for me to, UNTIL NOW! Overtime is no more...I am done...it has FINALLY ended and I can get back to what I LOVE...stamping! Here is one of the first cards I have made in OVER six weeks...talk about withdrawl...
